Citizenship Celebration - Dr. Tedini

06/17/2010
Sanford Canby Medical Center hosted a Citizenship Celebration on Flag Day (Monday June 14) in honor of Ziad Tedini, DDS, naturalized citizen of the U.S.

The VFW brought in the flag and lead in the Pledge of Allegiance, Paul Schmitz sang the National Anthem, Beth Frazeur read her Voice of Democracy essay, Bob Salmon, CEO at Sanford Canby Medical Center, welcomed the attendees and introduced Dr. Tedini, his wife, Susan, and daughters, Maya (3) and Lily (1).

Originally from Lebanon, Dr. Tedini has been practicing dentistry at the Sanford Canby Dental Clinic since 2003, and became a citizen on March 10.  Dr. Tedini changed his name from El Bteddini at the time of his citizenship.

The naturalization process is very prescriptive—the immigration judge told him, “You did it the long way, the hard way, the right way.”

SCMC welcomes Dr. Tedini’s and the patriotism he brings to his new citizenship.
